life is a garden ➿ and the roots are all touching
orientation: tenderness ☆
tenderness, noun
“a tender quality or condition, such as gentleness and affection”
☆ what exactly does it look like to orient oneself towards tenderness?
let it be known: it takes great strength to arrive at softness, to unravel a calloused spirit patiently and meticulously. tenderness, as with love, as with anything, is a deliberate action we take in all decisions, big and small, that we make everyday.
it takes enormous amounts of resilience to maintain tenderness!!
i’m still softening. sometimes the callouses return. i’m not perfect. thank god!
